About Us

 

JuJu Wellness Company (JWC) is named after the founder’s (Dr. Gregory Canillas, also known as “Doc”) late mother, Julia (nicknamed “JuJu”), and is a love-letter to her and the many women who shaped and influenced Doc’s development, including his aunts, cousins, teachers, mentors and Sistah-friends. 

JWC focuses on increasing health and well-being outcomes of women through the presentation of innovative educational workshops, community presentations, connection to support and resources, and fun, lively seasonal and annual events.  

Our areas of focus include the following:

Mental and Emotional Well-being:

Promoting and improving the overall health and well-being of women. The programs are designed to address the unique physical, emotional, and social needs of women throughout various stages of life. 

Education and Empowerment:

Offering educational workshops and resources on topics including self-care, healthy relationships, sexual health, body positivity, and empowering women to make informed decisions about their well-being. 

Community Support:

Creating a supportive and inclusive community where women can connect, share experiences, and access resources that enhance their overall quality of life. 

Holistic Approach:

Focusing on a holistic approach to wellness that considers the interconnectedness of physical, mental, emotional, and social aspects of health. 

Healthy Aging:

Supporting healthy aging through activities and information that promote vitality and well-being as women transition through different life stages. 

Work-Life Balance: 

Offering strategies and resources to help women balance the demands of work, family, and personal life while maintaining their own health.  

Cultural Sensitivity:

Recognizing and respecting cultural differences and tailoring programs to meet the diverse needs of women from various backgrounds.
